A: For agreements of 10 pages or fewer, our standard turnaround is within 72 hours. Agreements of 11–20 pages are completed within 5 business days, and agreements of 21–30 pages within 7 business days. Need it faster? A 48-Hour Rush may be added to agreements of 10 pages or fewer for $200, subject to attorney capacity.

A: It comes down to what you need to do next. No Redlines: you want to understand the agreement, identify the issues, and know what you may want to negotiate. With Redlines: you expect to negotiate and want your attorney to put proposed changes directly into the agreement. Think of it this way — No Redlines: tell me what I need to know. With Redlines: show me what you would change.

A: This service is offered for matters where J. Paye & Associates can provide the applicable Illinois legal advice. If your matter requires advice from an attorney licensed in another jurisdiction, we'll let you know rather than accepting a review we aren't positioned to handle. Where appropriate, we may also be able to point you toward counsel licensed in the applicable jurisdiction.

A: We understand that agreements can contain sensitive business, financial, and personal information. Before substantive review begins, we complete our intake and conflicts process. Once the firm accepts the engagement, you'll receive a written engagement agreement establishing the scope of the representation. We'll provide instructions for securely sending the documents and information needed for your review.

A: The With Redlines package includes your initial attorney review, proposed tracked changes, written feedback, and 60-minute Contract Strategy Session. It does not include ongoing negotiations or additional rounds of revisions unless specifically stated in your engagement agreement. If the other side sends back a counterproposal or substantially revised agreement and you'd like us involved again, contact us.
